Ever true to its motto, Non Scholae, Sed Vitae; Not for
School, but for Life, Convent of the Visitation
School has prepared
students for life beyond its walls since the school’s founding in 1873. Through an uninterrupted procession of over
130 years, graduating classes have distinguished themselves in remarkable ways,
not the least of which has been their embracing and promoting of the special
Salesian charism infused so beautifully by the Sisters of the Visitation. To keep alive and well the palpable spirit of
the Sisters, we work diligently to promote the school’s mission; to provide an
excellent education within a Catholic environment rooted in Salesian
spirituality.

At Visitation we treasure each student as a child of God and
seek to promote growth in each aspect of her/his being. Ours is a school that honors tradition while
being forward-focused. We encourage each
student to make the most of their God-given gifts – to stretch, grow, and reach
for the stars. We promote leadership
from early on and are ever amazed at our students’ zest in embracing a culture
that is rooted in service to others.

There exists great energy at Visitation borne of the many
partnerships that exist among the Sisters, students, parents, alumnae/i,
faculty, staff and Board of Trustees.
And while we dearly cherish the relationships that exist within our
school community, we look forward with great anticipation to developing
connections with those who newly embrace the spirit of Visitation School.
