STEM Conference for Girls -- Registration Now Closed
Registration for the STEM conference for Middle School girls is now closed. All registrations received by November 5 will be accepted; confirmation letters will be mailed on November 6.
Conference Check-In Details Check-in for the conference’s registered participants will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 14. The conference will open with an actor portraying Frankenstein author Mary Shelley, followed by four STEM workshops. The closing lecturer will be Tim Kehoe, a nationally recognized inventor of toys. Parents of participants are invited to attend the closing lecture, which will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the DeSales Auditorium.
Conference organizers are very grateful for the title sponsor, The Medtronic Foundation, for the speaker Tim Kehoe, and for the many professional volunteers – from the University of Minnesota, the University of St. Thomas, the University of St. Catherine, Visitation, Snyder Orthodontics, and Arizant Health Care – who will present during the day’s conference. In addition, Vis is very excited to partner with The Works, The Bakken Museum and IFP Minnesota in this endeavor.
